AMNON
David’s eldest son; He was ordered to be murdered by his brother Absalom in revenge for having forced and raped his sister Tamar (2 Sam. 13).
Amnon was killed by Absalom’s servants, who had invited him to a shearing party and made him drunk. David took no action.
Amnon did not accept moral responsibility for his abuse of his sister, adding to his sins of lasciviousness and incest that of unrepentance (2 Sam. 13:16).
