Prayer for Love to Shine at All Moments
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. –1 Corinthians 13:13
My Prayer for Today
Father, I know that this day will afford me the opportunity to be offended. I know that if I look for a reason to get upset, I will find it.
Help me not to do that, Lord. Help me to mimic Your ways as a true disciple. As the child of Your loins, I purpose in my heart to show Your character in all that I do.
May it be said of me that I take after my Father— that in all that I do, I show myself to be just like You.
May my faith be strong, my hope be confident, and my love be genuine. But of these three, Father, make my love shine the brightest.
My Confession for Today
I understand the processes of godly faith. First, I set a goal. This is my hope and the expectation of what I desire to receive.
Then I put my faith into operation, believing that I have received what I hope for, confessing with my mouth my specific desires, and preparing for when they come into this natural world. Through it all, my central focus is love.
It is the very springboard of all of my faith and hope. My hope does not live without it and my faith does not work, but within it.
