God Wants You to Act like He Does
Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. –Hebrews 11:6
My Prayer for Today
Father, help me to live a life that pleases You in every way. I know that to please You I must first believe You. I must set aside all human logic and trust You with my whole heart. Let me be perfect in this, Father. Assist me. Train me.
Enlighten the eyes of my understanding that I may clearly see Your direction for my life. Let me not be wise in my own eyes, but always maintain a sharp focus on Your Word. By this alone, I find favor and high esteem in Your sight.
My Confession for Today
I know that without faith it is impossible for me to please God. In order for me to draw near to Him, I must first believe that He exists, and then that He will reward me as I diligently seek Him. I believe both. I have assurance in my heart that His Word rings true in my life.
Therefore, I fix all of my will on pleasing Him in every way. To do this, I must make demands on the power that He has given me and call those things that be not as though they were. (Romans 4:17.)
