Daily Exhortation
God told Saul to carry out an instruction. He was to go to war and destroy everything in a certain kingdom. He did not do so completely. He brought back the best of the sheep and cattle from that kingdom so that they could be used as 'sacrifice' to God—the same person who had told him to destroy everything.
He even said his soldiers wanted it that way. This was why God sent Samuel to him. Samuel let him know that obedience is better than sacrifice. In other words, prevention is better than cure.
This incident, unfortunately, led to the downfall of Saul. Has the Lord spoken to you [directly or through someone else] about a matter and you have not carried it out? Or you have only carried it out partially? Why not obey and preserve yourself?
Today's Prayers
1. Any unprofitable power of stubbornness in my life, I push you out now, in the name of Jesus.
2. Any human voice encouraging me to disobey the Almighty, be silenced now, in the name of Jesus.
3. Any demonic voice encouraging me to disobey my Creator, be silenced forever, in the name of Jesus.
4. Any agenda of the enemy to pull me down, receive frustration now, in the name of Jesus.
5. I decree and declare that I choose obedience above sacrifice and submission to God above offerings, in the name of Jesus.
6. Therefore, I will never ever lose my place. Instead, I shall go from strength to strength and from height to height, in the name of Jesus.
7. Thank You heavenly Father for answering my prayers, in Jesus' mighty name, amen.
