Daily Exhortation
It is a common feeling to see other people who have become 'overnight successes' and to feel bad that you are not as far along as they are in life. The reality is that many (not all) so-called 'overnight successes' are people who have either dabbled into crime or have compromised their morality.
Please be wise. Don't desire something that will soon fade away like grass or that will soon wither like spring flowers. Please don't. Insofar as you commit yourself to doing excellent work and you put your trust in God completely, your prosperity will be established. Just be patient and soon you will become God's billboard of glory, shining as bright as the noonday sun for the whole world to see. Can you wait on the Lord?
Today's Prayers
1. Eternal King, I have seen the futility in envying the prosperity of others. Forgive me for every time I have done this, in the name of Jesus.
2. Henceforth, I refuse to waste my time thinking about things that will fade away or wither, in the name of Jesus.
3. O God, let the spirit of excellence from Your Holy Spirit be unleashed in my life so that I can do great work at all times, in the name of Jesus.
4. Father, as I put all my hope and my trust and my confidence and my delight in You, give me my own heart's desires, in the name of Jesus.
5. Lord, teach me to be patient and to wait for You to act on my behalf so that I can live safely in the land and prosper, in the name of Jesus.
6. My Lord and my God, let my innocence and righteousness shine like the dawn and my cause like the noonday sun, in the name of Jesus
7. Thank You, O God, for answering all my prayers and for the paradigm shift I have benefited from this morning, in Jesus' mighty name, amen.
