Former Tonight Show host and also host of the stimulating PBS Meeting of Minds series, Allen is a comic but also a very intelligent man. In 1990 he published Steve Allen on the Bible, Religion, and Morality, an alphabetical “mini-encyclopedia” that looks at key Bible teachings and people. The genial Allen is skeptical about the Bible, but his book is an interesting read.
