The Blood of Jesus

Thoughts of The Blood of Jesus

The Object Of Our Faith

Charles Spurgeon 171

The Object Of Our Faith
Is thy faith fixed on the precious blood? Then thou art in the covenant. Canst thou read thy name in the bloody characters of a Savior’s atonement, who says to all “Come unto me?” Then shalt thou read it one day in the golden letters of the Father’s election.

He that believeth is elected. The blood is the symbol, the token, the earnest, the surety, the seal of the covenant of grace to thee. By this blood, sin is cancelled; by Jesus’ agonies, justice is satisfied; by His death, the law is honored; and by that blood in all its mediatorial efficacy, and in all its cleansing power, Christ fulfills all that He stipulated to do on the behalf of His people towards God.—SPURGEON.

You are held safe in the arms of Christ because the Holy Spirit stands guard over your soul.

The Mind of the Father

Charles Stanley
The natural or unsaved man does not have the ability to discern God’s ways. Only the person who has accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior can know the mind of God, and even then there is a limitation to the knowledge given.
And in His sacred bosom see eternal thoughts of Love to me!

Ancient Wonders of Love and Divine Purpose

Charles Spurgeon
The records are ancient, yet not as ancient as those precious things that are the delight of our souls. Let us for a moment discuss them, counting them over as misers count their gold.
Lord, be with your children in their suffering. Arm them with love in the war against blind hate. Amen.

Marriage And Carnage

J. Stephen Lang
The mass killing began early on August 24 which in the Catholic calendar is St. Bartholomew’s Day, so the bloodbath is known as the St. Bartholomew’s Day Massacre.
1 Timothy 1:15: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.”

Not To Be Muzzled

J. Stephen Lang
1531: In the Middle Ages most churches in Europe, especially the great cathedrals, had relics of some saint—these could be teeth, bones, pieces of clothing, a sword or axe by which the saint was martyred, and so forth.
