ZARED
“exuberant”. Torrent and valley that the Israelites crossed at the end of the 38 years they spent in the desert.
The Zared marked the end of the people’s pilgrimages (Num. 21:12; Deut. 2:13, 14); This torrent was south of the Arnon.
It is probably the wadi el-Hesã (22 km south of the wadi el Kerak), which flows into the Dead Sea.
