ASHTEROTH KARNAIM
Scene of the defeat of the Rephaim before the forces of Chedorlaomer (Gen. 14:5). Although there are those who have identified it with the previous one, there are others who, due to the characteristics described in 2 Mac. 12:21, believe that it is “Tell Ashari”, 6 km south of “Tell Ashtarah”.
