CREATION
It is in contrast to the first creation placed under Adam, which received blessing from God, and which should have maintained its adherence to Him.
«Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Cor. 5:17).
Those who have died with Christ, and have been resurrected with Christ, have lost their first position in the first Adam, and are in the Second Adam.
«In Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is anything, but the new creation. And to all who walk according to this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God” (Gal. 5:15, 16).
This is the totally new position to which the believer is introduced in Christ. However, while he remains in the body he is not entirely free from contact with the old creation: the wilderness is part of the Christian life, as is Canaan and the conflicts of it.
In reverse order to the first creation, here it was Man who first took place (the resurrected Christ), then those who are His, and finally the new heavens and the new earth, in which righteousness will dwell (Rev. 21:1 ).
