(contraction of Epaphroditus).
He shared Paul’s imprisonment in Rome. He dedicated himself to the work in Colossae, his city.
He is described as “a servant of Christ, always earnestly supplicating (for the Colossian believers) in his prayers” (Col. 1:7; 4:12; Phm. 23).
