GUARANTOR
Who guarantees the payment of a debt.
Wisdom books frequently warn against guarantees given lightly (Prov. 6:2-5; 11:15; 17:18; 20:16; 27:13, 22, 26ff.).
The guarantor binds himself through the gesture of shaking hands (Jb. 17:3; Pr. 6:1; 17:18, 22:26).
Give collateral with her body and his life (hostages) in 2 Kings 14:14.
According to He. 7:22 Jesus has become the guarantor of a better alliance than the old one of the covenant sealed with his own blood (Heb. 9: 14-22).
