LOCK

LOCK

The locks from the east were very crude. They were made of wood, with wooden pins that had pins corresponding to holes, and that kept the closure secured. The key, also made of wood, with corresponding pegs, lifted the pegs of the latch, allowing it to open backwards (Judg. 3:24, 25; Neh. 3:3-15; Song 5:5).
