There is no doubt that this was part of their incantations, used to stun those who came to ask them for advice, and perhaps necessary to bring into action the spirit they wished to consult.

The advice may have been good at times in order to more effectively bring those deceived under the influence of evil spirits.

Christians are saved by faith, not by obeying the law, but the law shows us how to please, love, and resemble the one who saved us by grace.
