MALICE
Bad mood towards another person, usually hidden with a deceptive appearance.
The Pharisees felt hostility toward Jesus, but sometimes they tried to trap him by pretending to be friendly (Mt. 22:15-22); Malice is a sin against which the Christian is warned in several passages (1 Cor. 5:8; 14:20; Eph. 4:31; Col. 3:8; Jas. 1:21; 1 Pet. 2: 1).
