Place that Rabshakeh gloried in having destroyed (2 Kings 19:12; Is. 37:12). This is surely ancient Rasappa, which was the center of an Assyrian governor.
Probable identification: the current Rusãfah, which is located a few kilometers west of the Euphrates, on the road to Palmyra.
