SESBASAR
Prince of Judah; Cyrus made him governor and gave him the sacred vessels that Nebuchadnezzar had taken from Jerusalem. Sheshbazzar returned to Jerusalem and laid the foundation of the Temple as it began to be rebuilt (Ezra 1:8, 11; 5:14, 16).
Sheshbazzar could be the Babylonian name for Zerubbabel, just as Daniel’s was Belteshazzar.
