TYCHICUS
“fortuitous”.
Christian from the province of Asia. He and others went ahead of Paul to wait for him at Troas (Acts 20:4). The apostle commissioned Tychicus, a beloved disciple, to be the bearer of the epistles to the Ephesians and the Colossians (Eph. 6:21; Col. 4:7). He probably met Titus in Crete (Tit. 3:12). Paul, imprisoned in Rome for the second time, writes to Timothy telling him that he had sent Tychicus to Ephesus (2 Tim. 4:12).
