ULCER
Inflammatory ulcer leading to pustules; They constituted the sixth plague of Egypt (Ex. 9:8-11; cf. Deut. 28:27, 35).
Leprosy produced ulcerations (Lev. 13:18-20).
Hezekiah’s illness was characterized by ulcers (2 Kings 20:7; Is. 38:21).

Ordinary boils are common in the warm regions of the East during the rainy season; They are repulsive and painful, but not life-threatening.
