JAH
This form of God’s name is frequent in Hebrew poetry (Ps. 68:5; 89:9).
In Hebrew It is “yãh”, to which the full form Yahveh is sometimes joined. The abbreviated form “yãh” expresses the absoluteness of God’s existence. Yahweh, meaning “He is,” designates God in his essence, and in opposition to false gods (Is. 12:2; 26:4).
