PISIDIA

PISIDIA

Asia Minor Region. Its limits were: to the north, Phrygia; to the south, Lycia and Pamphylia; to the east, Lycaonia; to the west, Caria; To the east, the border ran along Isauria, without being very precise.

Pisidia was a part of the Roman province of Galatia. The Taurus Mountains crossed it. Its inhabitants were so warlike that neither the Persians nor the Romans were ever able to completely subdue them. Paul announced the Gospel in Antioch of Pisidia, his capital (Acts 13:14).
