HAMAN
“illustrious”, “esteemed”.
Prominent figure in the court of King Ahasuerus of Persia (Est. 3:1). He called Agagai, which probably means that he was a descendant of the royal family of the Amalekites.
He conspired against the Jews, which caused their destruction. Haman wanted to exterminate the Jews, but God saved them through Esther.
