NEBAIOTH
Firstborn of Ishmael and father of an Arab tribe (Gen. 25:13, 16; 28:9; 36:3); This tribe owned numerous herds of small livestock (Is. 60:7).
The Arab clan of Nebaioth was adjacent to the town of Kedar (Is. 60:7) and both of their names appear in the inscriptions of Assurbanipal (669-633 BC). It seems that they were the ancestors of the Nabataeans.
