PARACLETE
It is the transcription of a Greek term, “parakletos.”
Sometimes it is used with the Spanish form “paraclete” or “paraclete.” It is translated “Comforter”, referring to the Holy Spirit, in Jn. 14:16, 26; 15:26; 16:7. It is also used of the Lord Jesus, and is then translated as “advocate” (1 Jn. 2:1).
